And it didn't take long for us all to fall right in love with him, of course! We prayed with him when Jason and Alisa dedicated him, and watched as he said his first word!
We have been so blessed to be around these past few months to see him grow up and his personality develop. Soon he will be walking and talking and we'll get to know him even more!Matt took a bunch of fabulous pictures, as usual, and we had fun meeting some of the people whose blogs we (and by we I mean me) have been reading fairly regularly from among Jason and Alisa's friends. Mostly we just enjoyed the time with family and friends, celebrating the first year of the life of our happy little buddy!

Awwww! You guys are precious! The pictures are incredible!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for being our official photographers at the party! It seriously took a great deal of stress off me to know someone else was in charge of photographing this milestone (for the baby book of course). I love the one where he is laughing and so excited to dig into the cake! The close up of the candle is priceless, too. Thanks also for making all the special arrangements to be there last night. It meant so much to us to have you there. Lindsey, the taggie blanket is by far our favorite. It is a priceless gift that helped bring Nana to the party, because you know we missed her so much last night. It was hard not having her there. Thanks for paying tribute to her by finishing this project for Evan. I'm so happy he will have that for always! Thanks! You guys are the best!
