Belly Update

In the busy-ness that has become our daily lives, I've fallen sadly behind on posting belly pics! It's getting crazy now to take them, because sometimes I feel huge, and sometimes I don't feel that big... until I see a picture of myself. Then I can see clearly why I only have 2 pairs of pants that actually fit! Here is a quick catch-up of the belly pics since we haven't posted one since our anniversary, 31 weeks.

32 weeks- Matt bought me a pink tshirt at Carowinds... he was upset because he asked for a medium and the lady gave him a large, I was happy because the large actually fits and the medium wouldn't have! This is pretty much the only tshirt that fits right now (other than Matt's, which I definitely have been stealing!).

34 weeks- On the way out the door for youth group. Now that the weather is getting colder, there has been some interesting layering going on, based on what still fits. And of course, wearing the one pair of jeans that fit (as seen in the previous picture too!).

35 weeks- Hanging around the house today and getting ready to run some errands. I almost threw this shirt away because I bought it and wore it often when my mom was in the hospital, but I had shoved it to the back of my closet and forgotten about it. It's really comfortable without looking like a tent.

Other fun changes/things going on:

-I can't get up off the couch at all without help. Matt and I have developed a specific push/pull technique to keep me from being permanently stuck there.

-I'm at least 20 degrees hotter than anyone in the room at any given time, including Matt, which is insane since he is like a human heater.

-We start going every week to the OB starting this week! I can't wait to find out if we are making any official progress!

-I can tell the baby is starting to drop lower a little bit. My ribs still haven't gotten much of a break, but I can see a difference and tell there is a little more space at the top of my belly than there was.

-I've become very fidgety, especially in the pews at church. I try to keep my wiggling to a minimum if possible, but last night a sweet grandfatherly member gave me a big hug and said you're starting to get a little uncomfortable, aren't you? :)

-We're at 5 weeks this week, which is almost in the one month to-go countdown! We have a really busy week ahead, but if I can get through it, I should be able to focus just on getting things prepared and finishing the nursery.

-It's getting really hard to sleep comfortably. I'm a big tummy sleeper, and I could finagle it for a while with lots of pillows and blanket-scrunching, but now it's just not happening. I'm not sure how they expect you to sleep when you can't lay on your stomach and you're not supposed to lay on your back to keep from cutting off your own blood flow!

-I can tell she is running out of room because she squirms more now instead of kicking... she gets the hiccups almost daily, and last night Matt could feel them through my belly!

Too cute!! We can't wait to see her! (And BTW I was always a "tummy sleeper" until the last few weeks before Matt was born. Haven't slept on my tummy in 27 years now :) !)
Keep us updated on how you all are doing!
